Dr. Esha Niyogi De has published a new, single-authored monograph, Women's Transborder Cinema: Authorship, Stardom, and Filmic Labor in South Asia, available on University of Illinois Press' website.
Mubbashir Rizvi, AIPS Executive Committee Member, was interviewed on Chapati Mystery about his new book titled, The Ethics of Staying: Social Movements and Land Rights Politics in Pakistan. Rizvi uses his original framework, the Anjuman Mazarin Punjab (AMP), to examine state and society relations in Pakistan. He also "offers a glimpse of Pakistan that challenges its standard framing as a hub of radical militancy, by opening a window into to the everyday struggles that are often obscured in the West's terror discourse."
